Open position: General Manager UK & Ireland
After more than 35 years in service, our UK General Manager is now planning for his well-deserved retirement. As part of a well-planned process, we are now looking for a future General Manager for our UK and Ireland activities.
Based in our office in Derby, you will be working as part of an international and diversified team responsible for developing and maintaining a close relationship with current and potential clients, and for developing new business opportunities.
As General Manager, you are responsible for our local sales and service organization and the effective execution of territory specific plans to sell and promote company products and services.
You will act as the link between our UK and Ireland based customers, local service providers and our Danish sales and engineering departments.
You will be responsible for developing the UK and Ireland country-specific strategies and follow up on sales, marketing, as well as new business development.
Additionally, as part of the job as General Manager, you are expected to lead, develop and execute country-specific sales and marketing plans as well as identify risks and opportunities for the business and recommend strategies to achieve growth and financial goals for your markets.
You will have P/L responsibility and you will report directly to the HQ based CEO. In cooperation with the Divisional Leads, you will define annual sales targets and priorities, which you will execute on a day-to-day basis while developing, implementing, and following up on the annual growth- and strategy plans with the customers.
During the project execution phase, you and your team will support the technical project management and installation teams by arranging and coordinating necessary local providers of various services.
Approx. 60 travel days a year is expected.
We are looking for a customer oriented, technically sound, and experienced profile with a background within such areas as asphalt, concrete, aggregates, or bulk handling. You will have significant experience working within capital expenditure investments in complex technical solutions.
You will have a relevant educational background within sales and business administration and have technical flair and interest as well as experience within project management. You will understand the importance of building long term relationships and the dynamics of project sales.
You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to create trustworthy and long-term relationships with customers. You are good at getting new ideas, spotting opportunities, and transferring these into business.
You are a value-driven, convincing person with excellent communication and presentation skills while also being easily adaptable and a good team player.
We are looking for a positive, proactive, self-driven, and goal-oriented personality with an entrepreneurial drive.
